PB Residence

Denver, CO | On the Boards

Located adjacent to Cranmer Park in the Hilltop neighborhood of Denver, we’ve been commissioned with a sensitive, yet bold rework of an iconic modernist home built in 1952. By removing superfluous exterior structure and re-organizing the interior spaces the intent is to create a pared back aesthetic to emphasize the simplicity of the three existing volumes. Our client’s brief includes a hybrid composition incorporating Minimalist, Cubist and French Moderne design elements. The home is organized around a two-story entry foyer which serves as a gallery to display the owner’s collection of large scale artworks. We served as the initial design architect before the project was taken over by the architect of record, Sykes Projects.
