Aspen, CO | Unbuilt Concept
Set within a high mountain meadow, this home emerges as a quiet gesture—an elemental structure at the threshold between forest and sky. Set within a meadow clearing where light, air, and presence converge—the house occupies a site where early morning fog lingers low across the grasses, enfolding the building in a veil of transience.
Defined by its restrained geometry and raw material palette, the architecture becomes one with the site—absorbing the shifting atmosphere of sun, shadow, and cloud. From within, panoramic glazing frames the distant alpine peaks while anchoring the interior to the meadow floor, blurring the line between enclosure and expanse.
The result is not a house in the landscape, but a dwelling of the landscape: a quiet room in the mist.
